Troy is a 26 time Emmy Award winner and has been nominated over 60 times for his work as a documentary filmmaker, and television journalist. Troy worked as a Filmmaker, Reporter, Host, Writer, Investigative Journalist, Photojournalist, Editor, Radio DJ, Lighting Designer, Audio operator, Drummer and Guitarist. Troy has covered hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, fires, presidential elections, the MTV Video Music Awards, Tyson/Lewis fight, the Big Ten, NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS and anything else with an abbreviation. Along the way he has picked up an Edward R. Murrow award, a CINE Golden Eagle, an Addy, 11 Tellys, two Associated Press awards, three National and 10 regional NPPA awards and many other film and television awards. He is a member of National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Broadcast Education Association, Michigan Creative Film Alliance, Investigative Reporters and Editor. Troy has 2 feature films that received international distribution. “Fart: A Documentary” is available on Amazon Prime. “Sh*t Saves the World” will be released Mid 2021. He is known through the industry as a creative visual storyteller and a perfectionist. He is the Director, Editor and Cinematographer for his own company Troy Hale Films. Troy serves as a Judge for regional Emmy awards all over the USA, as well as other major awards.
